A monitoring plan describes the methods by which the annual emissions of greenhouse gases are determined and how the uncertainties regarding the determination of these emissions are statistically taken into account. Ultimately, the plan forms the basis for determining the amount of CO2 emission allowances that shall be handed over annually. For companies that are compelled to report their CO2 and other greenhouse gas emissions - also known as ETS companies - Exergie compiles the mandatory monitoring plans and guides the approval of these plans by the government.
In addition to drawing up the monitoring plan, Exergie also supports the annual reporting of the emissions actually emitted via the annual emissions report and the verification of this annual report.
Finally, Exergie also actively cooperates with companies to achieve a reduction in emissions and, if possible, even an exit from the emissions trading system in order to reduce or completely eliminate an important annual cost.
